Olly Fawcett wasn’t always a business guru – in fact, he left college at the age of eighteen with a E in business studies and the feeling that education just wasn’t for him.

But, deciding to go it alone and work creatively, he decided to explore his passion for drama and created the production firm Grean Tea – a name inspired by his cuppa of choice. Initially a spelling error by Fawcett, many people assumed that it was a clever marketing device, creating a memorable destination company by subverting our expectations of spelling – but it was simply a misspelled word on account of Fawcett’s dyslexia.

As Grean Tea’s productions grew in name and number, one eventually won a coveted spot at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was only then that the error came to light, when somebody approached Fawcett to check that it had been spelled right – leading to the realisation that Green Tea had actually been spelled incorrectly all along, quietly creating a subtle marketing hook and a quirky brand image to boot. Dyslexia can be handy sometimes, right?

Grean Tea has since evolved into 303.London, a digital marketing agency whose clients include Herbal Essences, San Miguel and even BMW. In 2021, it was valued at three million pounds and still growing, with recruitment in the pipeline and a shift to a 1,000 square ft office space in the heart of Fulham, London.
